How can I take part?
You can have your say via the online forums, quick polls and surveys relevant to each of the projects currently open for consultation. To participate, simply register with us and start sharing your ideas and comments
If this is your first time visiting Open Forum then simply click on the Register button at the top right hand of the page. When prompted, create a Username and Password of your choice and provide a valid email address, your age, gender and the location in which you live.
If you have previously participated, click on the Sign In button located on the right hand side of the top tool bar.
Note: Any comments you post to Open Forum will appear under your Username.
What happens to my feedback?
All comments, ideas and suggestions are collated and used to inform Council decision making processes for the development of strategies, programs and activities. Online feedback is used in conjunction with other face-to-face consultation activities such as public meetings, or surveys.
All feedback provided during consultation will be considered, however this does not mean that every suggestion can be taken on board and adopted as proposed.
Why do I need to register?
By registering to Open Forum you are able to access the full features of our site including our interactive discussion forums, feedback forms, surveys and story tools. We will also send you a regular email newsletter detailing latest updates. Finally, it means that we can keep you up-to-date about important changes to a consultation process, for example, if the submission date is extended or a public meeting is rearranged.
Is my privacy protected?
I rarely use the internet. Will I miss out on having my say?
Open Forum provides us with an exciting new way to engage online. It will be used to complement but not replace traditional face-to-face consultation activities, including public meetings, surveys and meetings with community groups.
